JG’s Campen Life RV Campground near Huntsville, AL

Sweet potato fields turned into a campground with wide pull-through sites, and that's the short story of how this place came to be. Folks weighing RV parks near Huntsville, AL often choose Cullman instead, because the run north on I-65 is simple, the sites are long and level with full hookups including water, electric, sewer and trash, and the Wi-Fi is fast enough to upload the day's photos before dinner.

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center is why most families point the truck north, and space fans can add the Davidson Center for Space Exploration to the same trip. Younger kids get their own turn at EarlyWorks Children's Museum, while a slow morning at Huntsville Botanical Garden balances out a busy afternoon. Downtown, Big Spring International Park makes for an easy stroll, and Monte Sano State Park is a good reason to spend a whole day up on the mountain.

Coming back is the good part. The pool stays clean and lively, the private bathhouse is tiled and spotless, and pickleball, virtual golf, tetherball, a playground, a dog park and covered porch games fill the hours nobody wants to spend in the car. The creek is there for fishing and kayaking, the ponds for slow evenings. We were headed home from Florida early due to evacuation for the hurricane. After being in traffic for nearly 10 hours only traveling halfway home, I called this campground at 10 pm desperately looking for a place to stay for the night. The lady answered the phone and was so nice, allowing us a place to stay for the night. This facility was so new, clean, and the staff were phenomenal. The bath houses were so nice and clean. I will certainly stay here again if needed. 10/10 for sure.

One of the best campgrounds we’ve stayed in our years of traveling! Easy, level, pull through, full hookup campsites! The individual restroom/shower room was extremely clean. The laundry room was very clean as well. Both the restrooms & laundry room had very nice, not overwhelming, flight in fragrance. Jenny, the campground host, was so friendly & extremely helpful! We will definitely stop at JG’s again on our future travels!

The place was very clean and nice. Jenny was amazing at helping me with anything we needed. And the wifi offered was the best we've ever had at a campground (which is important during football season). We will definitely be back.

This is a wonderful campground. The sites were nice size, flat, and included picnic tables on a cement slab. Jenny was so friendly and helpful. They had so many extras on the property wish we had time to stay longer. - pickleball, pool, golf simulator, and even a guest bag with a koozie. Very immaculate and modern. Beautiful scenery.

Great campground, and the owners have the place fixed up pretty nicely. No trees, but the owners told us the place was a sweet potato farm. WiFi was the fastest I have ever had at any campground.

JG’s Camp Life Rv was great. We took our grandkids on a Rv weekend and had the best time. The kids loved the creek, playing in the pool and the many activities they had. It’s close to the Water Park in Cullman. If you want to eat out you’re close to restaurants. We will definitely come back. Thank you for creating a great place to stay.
